The Lord has truly blessed our Sacramento Cursillo movement this past weekend with the first successful Ultreya at St. Joseph Parish in Vacaville! The Ultreya was made possible through a collaborative effort from many active members in our community. Many prayers, the assistance of members of our Secretariat, and several Cursillistas who reside and regularly hold group reunions in the Vacaville area got the Ultreya off to a great start. We would like to thank Father Matthew for blessing our event and allowing the Movement to become an active presence in St. Joseph Church! Of the 16 individuals in attendance, 15 of them were Cursillistas, active and non-active, and one prospective candidate for the upcoming weekends. The parishioners present expressed gratitude at the opportunity to rekindle their Cursillo commitment and reconnect with other Cursillistas in the local community. Given the success of this Ultreya, there is hope that future ones will become instrumental in encouraging others to live a Cursillo weekend and practice their faith in community with other Cursillistas! All are welcome and encouraged to help with the continued growth of this Ultreya in Vacaville.
